People's Grocery carries a wide range of products, and if you don't see what you want, we will gladly special order it for you. People's Grocery carries:

- Bulk foods and herbs

- Household products (soaps, paper goods, etc)
- Freshly prepared salads, soups, and juices from our Deli. Stop by for lunch or on your way home from work!
People's Grocery was incorporated on June 15, 1975 as a for-profit entity under Kansas Cooperative Corporation Code. It's purpose is to "own and operate a consumers' food cooperative and make available to is members and the public wholesome and nutritious food at the lowest possible prices."
Since that time People's has outgrown several locations and has grown to over 1000 members.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a marketing and purchasing outlet for minimally processed, high quality nutritional food and other goods and services, as desired by member/owners, at the best possible price. This provision shall be made through economically sound business practices of the cooperative. The People's Grocery Cooperative Exchange, Inc shall promote the cooperative principles, provide edcuation in the use and value of quality natural food, and shall support the physical and social well being of the employees, the members, the cooperative network and the community as a whole.
Our Owners
Our owners make decisions based on the democratic model: one membership, one vote. Owners support the co-op through both patronage and participation. Shop, vote, volunteer, and watch the co-op thrive! Organizational memberships are also available, and charge accounts can be set up for volume organizational purchasers.
